Hindi Novel - Shrikant

Shrikant (Hindi) - By Saratchandra Chattopadhyay

One of my friend has recommended & provided the "Shrikant" novel
written by Late Shri S. Chattopadhyay.

The book is translated from Bangali to Hindi. However I don't know the
name of translator.

The book is written as an autobiography style. The main character
i.e. Shrikant is writing his account of travelling at various places
& memorable experiences.

His life's path was not decided by him. He kept wandering from place to place.

He was different, intelligent, emotional but always in two states of mind.

He respected woman & power of womanhood due to his encounters with
women at various stage of his life.

Alongside, silent love story at platonic level is also moving between
Shrikant & his childhood student turned fan.

This love story (as I said platonic) is very pure though it has its
own ups & down.

The main story runs with Shrikant & spread its wisdom to various part
of life & then lifestyles.

It is like experiencing the life of man from his point of view.

The story-flow is very smooth & at times compel us to relive our own
experiences.

The story never ends as our life. I liked the ongoing story & its
life like nature.

Very good to read as it offers mental peace & pure pleasure,

With love,

Khushal.
